Chereshnichenko graduated from the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts (Professor G. Barysheva’s class). His roles in the diploma performances were: Khin Meners ("The Scarlet Sails" after A. Green); Milovzorov and Neznamov (“Guilty with No Fault” by A. Ostrovsky), Levko (“A May Night”), musical inserts in the performance “A Road with No End…” He served at the Premiere Theater and plays with the Zimmer Band Group.

After graduation from the Theater Academy in September 2008, Chereshnichenko was admitted to the Alexandrinsky Theater as a member of the orchestra. He is engaged in the performances: "MAN EQUALS MAN" by B. Brecht (director Yury Butusov),  "The Marriage" by N. Gogol (director Valery Fokin), "Oedipus king" by Sophocles (director Theodoros Thersopoulos), Hamlet by W. Shakespeare (director Valery Fokin, 2010).
