(Born 5. 10. 1981) 

In 1997, Mamai won admission to the M. Musorgsky Music School to the department of folk performing. At the 2 grade, he started to work at the children’s Ethnography Center affiliated with the Ethnography Museum as an accompanist; he continues his work there until now. In 2001, he was invited to the Theater in Liteiny, where he is engaged in two performances: “Lost in the Stars” (director Grigory Ditatkovsky) and “Do Not Part with Your Beloved” (director Alexander Galibin). In 2002, he was invited to the Alexandrinsky Theater as Assistant Conductor. His first performance at the Alexandrinsky Theater was “The Inspector General” by N. Gogol (director Valery Fokin), where he played as accordionist. He is engaged in the performance "MAN EQUALS MAN" by B. Brecht (director Yury Butusov),  Hamlet by W. Shakespeare (director Valery Fokin, 2010).

Mamai played in musical projects: “Sauce” with Natalya Pivovarova and “Victoria Elephant and her Orchestra;” he is engaged in the performance “The Old Buildings” (director Alexander Kladko) at the Youth Theater in the Fontanka. He is involved with several musical ensembles.

In 2008, Mamai graduated from the St. Petersburg University of Culture and Arts, department of orchestra directing. He took part in city and international competitions; he is recipient of a diploma for participation in the Composition Do-Major International Project and of special prize for participation in the Third International Singing Mask Vocal Competition named after Andrey Petrov (2008). He is laureate of the Third City Competition for soloists, ensembles, and orchestras of folk instruments, and also of the Fourth International V. Andreyev Competition for folk instrument performers.
