Sarkisyan graduated from the Special Musical School affiliated with the St. Petersburg Conservatory; in 2001, he won admission to the St. Petersburg N. Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. He worked at several orchestras and theaters of St. Petersburg, the opera Studio at the Conservatory among them. He was the concertmaster of the trumpet group at the St. Petersburg Opera. He is also engaged with the Russian Horn Group headed by Sergey Polyanichko.
At the Alexandrinsky Theater he is engaged in "The Ivans" by N. Gogol (director Andrey Moguchy)" and MAN EQUALS MAN" by B. Brecht (director Yury Butusov), Hamlet by W. Shakespeare (director Valery Fokin, 2010).
