Member of the orchestra

(Born 13. 09. 1981)

Shcherbakov studied to play the trumpet at the #1 High School of Arts (class of V. Yefimov, Distinguished Worker of Arts of Russia). In 1995, he participated in the I All-Russia Competition for Young Musicians and was honored with a Committee of Culture Certificate for Young Talented Musicians of 1995/96. In 2001, he graduated from the Musorgsky Music School with excellence specializing in the trumpet (pedagogue L. Korkin’s class). He was honored with the diploma of the 4th All-Russia Competition of Young Performers on Brass Wind and Percussion Instruments (Krasnodar). Since 2000, he works at the Alexandrinsky Theater as a member of the orchestra. He won admission to the St. Petersburg N. Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory 1n 2001 and graduated from it in 2006. In 2003, he became laureate of the International Arts of the 21st Century Competition (Kyiv, 2-nd Prize). Since 2003, Shcherbakov is member of the State Academy Symphony Orchestra under direction of People’s Artist of Russia R. Martynov and also soloist of the Modern Music Ensemble of the St. Petersburg Conservatory. He had a number of solo concerts in Belarus, Poland, and Germany.

Since 2005, he has worked at the Alexandrinsky Theater as concertmaster of the orchestra (trumpet). He is engaged "The Ivans" by N. Gogol (director Andrey Moguchy, 2007), "MAN EQUALS MAN" by B. Brecht (director Yury Butusov, 2008), . Hamlet by W. Shakespeare (director Valery Fokin, 2010).
