Born in 1973
Sergey Elikov graduated from St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts in 1999 (A. Kunitsin’s class). He worked at the MKhAT named after Gorky. Since 2001, he is actor of the Alexandrinsky Theater. He took part in many performances of the theater. Prince Alexey (“A Saga of the Tzar Peter and His Slain Son Alexey” by F. Gorenshtein), Trigorin (“Engagement” after the plays of Yu. Knyazev and A. Chekhov, 2004), Sergey Sergeyevich Likhutin (“Petersburg,” A. Bely, 2006) are among his most noticeable roles. In Valery Fokin’s performances he plays roles of an Official (“The Double” by Fedor Dostoyevsky), Ukhovertov (“Inspector General” by N. Gogol), and artist Petushkov (“The Living Corpse" by L. Tolstoy). He also participated in T. Terzopoulos’ performance “Oedipus-Rex” (Sophocles, 2006) and A. Moguchy’s performance “The Ivans” (after N. Gogol’s writings, 2007).
Presently, the actor’s repertoire includes the roles of: Official in Valery Fokin’s performance The Double (after the St. Petersburg poem by F. Dostoyevsky, 2005); Ukhovertov in the performance The Inspector General by N. Gogol (2006); Artist Petushkov (The Living Corps by L. Tolstoy, Director Valery Fokin, 2006); Choir Member in the performance Oedipus Rex by Sophocles (Director Theodoros Terzopoulos, 2006); Dorofei Podsudok The Ivans after N. Gogol’s The Story How Ivan Ivanovich Quarreled with Ivan Nikiforovich and other N. Gogol’s writings, Director Andrey Moguchy, 2007); Dragon Fly (The Fly after Joseph Brodsky’s poem with the same name and Korney Chukovsly’s Mukha-Tsokotukha (The Clattering Fly) fairy-tale, Director Oleg Eremin, 2007); Soldier (Man Equals Man by Berthold Brecht, Director Yury Butusov, 2008). He is also engaged in the mass scenes in the performance Ksenia. The History of Love by V. Levanov (Director Valery Fokin, 2009). In Khrystian Lupa’s performance The Seagull directed after the motives of A. Chekhov’s play Sergey Elikov played two roles: the ill-starred teacher Medvedenko and an infernal character indicated in the program as the “Lost Man” (2007). In W. Shakespeare's Hamlet (Director Valery Fokin, 2010) he plays the role of an Actor from the company of traveling actors performing the scene from The Mousetrap.
