Vladimir Kolganov graduated from the School of Russian Drama (Theater Institute, Professor I. Gobachev’s class) in 2003. His roles in diploma performances were: Shurka Vedernikov (“Years of Traveling,” A. Arbuzov), Smirnov (“A Bear,’ A. Chekhov), Shipuchin (“A Jubilee,” A. Chekhov), Foreigner (“The Green Star,” A. Slapovsky), Claude Tarzhi (“Mademoiselle’s Portrait,” I. Yelagin).

The actor had played in a number of performances:  Officer (The Vanity Fair by W. Thackeray, Director Alexander Belinsky, 2003); Deacon (The Tale of Tsar Saltan by A. Pushkin, Director Vladimir Golub, 2004); Artist Arkady (Theatrical Engagement by Yu. Knyazev and A. Chekhov, Director Alexander Galibin, 2004); group scenes in The Little Tragedies by A. Pushkin, (2004); Ronny (“The Thirteenth Room” by R. Kuni, Director Vladimir Golub, 2005); Official (The Double by F. Dostoyevsky, Director Valery Fokin, 2005); Corinthian Messenger  (Oedipus Rex by Sophocles, Director Theodoros Terzopoulos, 2006); Pyotr Ivanovich Bobchinsky (The Inspector General by N. Gogol, Director Valery Fokin); he is also engaged in the performance The Ivans after N. Gogol’s The Story How Ivan Ivanovich Quarreled with Ivan Nikiforovich and other N. Gogol’s writings (Director Andrey Moguchy, 2007). He played the major role of Charley Gordon in the performance Flowers for Charley after D. Keyes’s novel Flowers for Algernon (Director Iskander Sakayev, 2007).  In February 2008, Charley was awarded with the prize of public’s sympathy of the Theatric Association (Association of Theater Goers) for the role of Charley. In Oleg Eremin’s new performance Vampilov. Plays (2009); Vladimir Kolganov is playing two roles: the “star” of Gosconcert Vadim Edwardov in The Unparagoned Nakonechnikov and Oleg Kamayev in The Crow’s Grove. He plays the role of Guildenstern in the new Valery Fokin's performance Hamlet after W.Shakespeare (2010).

In 2010, he was introduced to L.Tolstoy’s performance “The Living Corps” (Director V. Fokin) in the role of Assistant Court Investigator. In the performance “The Taming of the Shrew” by W. Shakespeare (Director Oskaras Korshunovas, 2010) he plays the role of an actor from the Lord’s troupe assuming a number of roles: Petruchio’s servant, Musician, Taylor, and even a weird being in an ancient Greek mask answering the “Hi, anybody there” addressing. In Andrey Moguchy and K. Filippov’s performance “The Fortune” he is engaged in mass scenes (nurses, emergency doctors, bird-headed servants of the Night) (Director Andrey Moguchy, 2011). On the Smaller stage of the theater he played the role of Minotaur J. Cortasar’s performance “The Tsars” (Director E. Safonova, 2010).
