In 1987 Svetlana graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music, and Cinematography named after N.K. Cherkasov. After the Institute she was admitted to the Alexandrinsky Theatre Company.
She has played over 20 parts. The most noticeable are Lelya (Mashenka written by A. Afinogenov, 1987); Hesia (Mrs. Dulska"s Morality, G. Zapolska, 1987); Matryona (Marriage of Balzaminov, A. Ostrovsky, 1991); Sophia (The Minor, D. Fonvisin, 1993); Mrs. Eynsford-Hill (Pygmalion, B. Show, directed by Alexander Belinsky, 1988); a country girl (Don Juan, Moliere, directed by G. Trostyanetsky, 2000); a jester (Cinderella’s First Ball, Eugene Svarts, director Nora Raikhshtein, 2001) and others.
