Victoria Vorobieva graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music, and Cinematography named after N.K. Cherkasov (I. Gorbachev’s class). Her first major role at the Alexandrinsky Theater was Beatrice in the modern tragic comedy of a Lithuanian playwright Yu. Grushas “Love, Jazz and Devil.” Her other roles included Hortenzia (“The Mistress of the Inn,” Goldoni, 1992), Laura Carlier (“Blaise” by Claude Magnier, 1992), Ustinka (“Pictures of the Moscow Life,” A. Ostrovsky, 1993), Colombina and Nina Champa (“A Cap with Jingles” by Pirandello, 1993), Sofia Voinitseva (“Platonov”, A. Chekhov), Lady Mary (Elizabeth of England,” F. Bruckner, 1995), Irina (“The Three Sisters,” by A. Chekhov, 1996), Oksana (“Engagement,” by Yu. Knyazev and A. Chekhov, 2004), Sofia Andreyevna Likhutina (“Petersburg” by A. Bely, 2005), etc. Altogether, she played more than 25 roles on the stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater.
Presently, the actress’s repertoire also includes the role of Polina Andreyevna in Chekhov’s “Seagull” (Director Khrystian Lupa, 2007).
