Maria ZIMINA graduated from the Actor Department of the St. Petersburg Academy of Theater Arts (Professor S.Y. Spivak’s class). Her roles in diploma performances included: Muriel Pervis (N. Baer’s “Metro,” director S.Y. Spivak), Nelya (“Brutal Games” by A.N. Arbuzov, Directors D. Khusniyarov and S. Spivak).
She was admitted to the Alexandrinsky Theater in 2010. She played the role of an Actress of the troupe of traveling musicians in W. Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” (Director Valery Fokin) and was introduced to L.Tolstoy’s “The Living Corps” as Young Woman (Director Valery Fokin). In Andrey Moguchy and K. Filippov’s performance “The Fortune” he plays the role of mother of Tiltil and Mitil (Director Andrey Moguchy, 2011). For this role, the Actress was nominated for the prestigious St. Petersburg Youth Theater “Breakthrough” Award in the nomination of “The Best Secondary Role” in 2011.
She has also been filming in television series: “The Kingdom of Crooked,” “The Color of the Flame,” “Personal Affair of Captain Ryumin,” “Woman Shall Speak,” ”Devils of the Sea-5.”
