Elena Zimina’s artistic anniversary
On June 20, Honoured Artist of Russia Elena Konstantinovna Zimina celebrates an artistic anniversary – twenty-five years on stage of Alexandrinsky Theatre embracing more than thirty diverse roles: from Shakespeare’s Ophelia and Desdemona to Marya Antonovna (N. Gogol’s “The Inspector General”, 2002), Clara Olsufievna (F. Dostoyevsky’s “The Double”, 2005), Tiltil’s and Mitil’s mother (A. Moguchy’s and K. Filippov’s “Happiness”, 2011), Alice Kinnian (Dan Keese’s “Flowers for Charlie”), the Mask (“Masquerade. Remembrance of the future” based on Mikhail Lermontov’s drama “Masquerade” and the 1917 performance by Vsevolod Meyerhold, 2014), Lizaveta (“Crime and Punishment”, based on the novel of F. Dostoevsky, 2016) and a lot more.
