ALEXANDRINSKY THEATRE AT THE ‘GOLDEN MASK’ FESTIVAL
From March 17 to 21 Alexandrinsky Theatre is on tour to Moscow. The Theatre is among participants of the ‘Golden Mask’ National Theatre Award festival programme.
On March 17 and 18 Attila Vidnyansky’s ‘Crime and Punishment’ will be shown at Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre (performance starts at 5:00 p.m.). The performance is an Award nominee in the following categories: ‘Best Large Scale Production’, ‘Best Director’, ‘Best Actress’ (Anna Blinova as Sonya), ‘Best Supporting Actor’ (Vitaly Kovalenko as Porfiry Petrovich and Dmitry Lysenkov as Svidrigailov).
On March 20 and 21 Mikhail Patlasov’s ‘Chuk and Gek’ will be shown at Meyerhold Theatre Centre (performance starts at 8:00 p.m.). The performance is an Award nominee in the following categories: ‘Best Small Scale Production’, ‘Best Director’, ‘Best Actress’ (Olga Belinskaya as Agnessa), ‘Best Designer’ (Alexander Mokhov and Maria Lukka).
‘Turn this off!’ pop-music guide for teenagers, a project of the Alexandrinsky Theatre New Stage, is also a participant of the ‘Golden Mask’ festival within ‘Children’s Weekend’ programme. Join us for the adventure to the world of popular music at the Small Stage of Stanislavsky Electrotheatre on March 18 (starts at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.).
