The literary basis of the performance was the book of Nadezhda Taffy's memoirs My Chronicle, the stories Life and Collar, Together and the poem Poor Azra. The stage charm of Svetlana Smirnova, her inherent irony gave the actress the opportunity to gracefully and convincingly lead in this performance story in the first person, from the author, called by contemporaries "the queen of Russian humor". Witty observations on the easy and ridiculous vanity of life and tragic in its very essence memories. The time of memoirs My Chronicle - 1919, the Civil War, entreprise in Odessa, emigration. Witty and sad, presented in a few strokes the story of a fate determined by time. And an homage to the literary work of Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Lokhvitskaya (1872, St. Petersburg - 1952, Paris), who from 1901 published her works under the pseudonym Taffy, which became known throughout Russia.
The performance continues the cycle of the Alexandrinsky stage coryphees "Monologues in the Tsar's Foyer". It was created in creative collaboration with the recognized master of mono-performance, People's Artist of Russia Igor Volkov.
