Willing to live is a one-man performance by the Honoured Artist of Russia, Sergey Parshin. It is the next instalment in the Monologues at the Tsar’s Lobby cycle. The literary sources of the performance include the tales of Stepan Pisakhov, Boris Shergin diaries, an excerpt from Mikhail Sholokhov’s novel They Fought for their Motherland and an excerpt from Vasily Shukshin’s novel I come to set you free.
