Ahmed El Attar is a theater director and playwright. Founder and CEO of Emad Eddin Foundation Studio, established as an open stage for independent Egyptian theater creators. Founder and Artistic Director of Orient Productions, Temple Independent Theatre Company and the D-CAF Festival, and Artistic Director of Falaki Theater in Cairo. His productions have been performed in Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Sweden, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Holland, France, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, the United Kingdom and the UAE.
In April 2005, Ahmed El Attar was named by the Arab edition of Newsweek as one of the people changing the Arab world.
Temple Independent Theatre Company's production of The Last Supper, directed by Ahmed El Attar, was presented at the XI International Alexandrinsky Festival on September 23 and 24, 2017. (Main stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater).
