Airat Abushakhmanov is the chief director of the Bashkir State Academic Drama Theatre named after Mazhit Gafuri. Honoured Art Worker of the Republic of Bashkortostan (2012), winner of the Damir Siraziev Prize of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan (Zhien Foundation, 2009), winner of the State Prize of the Republic of Bashkortostan named after S. Yulaev (2020).
