Dialogue Dance Company was established in 2002 by Ivan Estegneev and Evgeny Kulagin. Creativity is aimed at searching for synthetic forms of dance and theater art and creating contemporary dance performances. Developing the concept of dialog in all possible creative and working aspects, the company strives for creative self-identification of each artist. There are 6 artists in the company, the company is the creator and the main resident of the art platform STATION in Kostroma.
"Dialog Dance" cooperates with artists of different genres and actively creates performances with guest dancers, choreographers and directors (Maria Kozeva / Yekaterinburg, dance theater "Iguan" / St. Petersburg, company "Po. V.S.Dance" / Moscow, Sergey Zemlyansky / Moscow, P.J. Sabbagha / South Africa, Karin Pontjes / Belgium, Chris Hering / Austria, Guillermo Weickert Molina / Spain, Jasper van Luijk / Netherlands, Mart Kangro / Estonia).
The productions have been presented at many festivals in Russia, as well as in Hungary, Poland, Romania, Egypt, Sweden, France, Belgium, South Africa and the USA. In 2009 the first international co-production of Zebra took place with Forgotten Angle Theatre Collaborative (South Africa). In 2010 the company was invited to participate in the contemporary dance project Intradance. Within the framework of the official year of Russia-Italy 2011 the performance "Punto di Fuga" was produced together with the company cie Zerogrammi (Italy). In 2011 with the performance "Mirliflor" and in 2012 with the performance "Punto di Fuga".
Dialog Dance Company has twice won the National Theater Award "Golden Mask" in the nomination "Best Contemporary Dance Performance". In 2012, with the support of the European Union, the company took part in the Russian-European project "Imagination Factory". Within the framework of the project cooperation with artists of the cultural center Sampo (Belgium) and the company Liqud Loft (Austria) was realized. In 2012-2014, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the company took part in the socio-cultural project "Theater + Society".
In 2013, the play "People" with hearing-impaired participants, produced under this project, takes part in the non-competitive program of the Golden Mask Festival. In 2013-2014, the company is a resident of Moscow's Gogol Center, resulting in the creation of projects and the production of performances. Since 2014, Dialog Dance has been involved in the production of the Theater of Nations repertoire - "My Anomaly" and "Shakespeare. Labyrinth."
Ivan Estegneev's play "Hero" was presented at the X International Festival "Alexandrinsky" (September 26 and 27, 2016. New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre).
