Born in 1981, he graduated from the actor’s art course at the Piccolo Theatre’s School, Luca Ronkoni’s class. He had performed on the stage and filmed. In 2005, he was honored with the Hystrio Award in the “Theatre Calling” nomination. Since 2006, he has been teaching the actor’s art. As a teacher, he participated in the International Academy of Comedy del Arte organized by Piccolo Theatre under direction of Ferruccio Soleri. In 2009, he established Teatro Bresci, where he had produced several performances after classic, modern and his own compositions. In the period since 2011, he had been Luca Ronkoni’s co-director in his work on several productions: In the Company of Men by Edward Bond and Modesty by Rafael Spregelburd; La Celestina by Fernando de Rojas; and Lehman Trilogy by Stefano Massini. In 2015, he had produced Goldoni’s Harlequin, the Servant of Two Masters at the Teatro Stabile del Veneto. On the same stage, he had produced Sangati’s plays: Malabrenta, Buco, and Massacritica.
At the Tenth International Alexandrinsky Festival Giorgio Sangati’s performance after Carlo Goldoni’s play The Jealous Women will be presented (October 4, 5, and 6, 2016, 7 p.m.; Major Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre).
