Graduated from the directing department of the State Higher Theater School in Krakow (2001). She has staged productions at the Słowacki Theater (Krakow), Norwid Theater (Jelenia Góra), the Szaniawski Drama Theater (Wałbrzych) and the Stary Theater (Kraków).
Winner of several prizes: for the play "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (Wojciech statuette and prize for the best theater group at the XLIII Kalisz Theater Meetings, 2003; Audience Award for the best direction at the VII Polish Festival of Directing Art "Interpretations" in Katowice, 2005), for the play Wojciek (Journalist's Award for direction at the VIII Polish Festival of Directing Art "Interpretations", 2006).
Maja Kleczewska's play FEDRA (September 28 and 29, 2008), staged at the Narodowa Theatre, was presented at the Third International Alexandrinsky Theatre Festival.
