Director, teacher, producer, author of numerous international creative projects and festivals. Graduated from the Russian Institute of Theater Art (GITIS), course of Anatoly Efros. F. Komissarzhevskaya Theater, Theater on Liteiny, Baltic House Theater, Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater), Riga, Krasnoyarsk, Lvov, Sevastopol, Vilnius, Irkutsk.
He headed the Sevastopol theater named after A. V. Lunacharsky. He was the initiator of the popular theater festival "Chersonese Games", the author of the international project of contemporary art "Balaklava Odyssey".
In 2007-2009 he was the chief director of the Yaroslavl TYUZ. He staged the productions of A. N. Ostrovsky's "It Shines but Doesn't Warm" and A. P. Chekhov's "Three Sisters". Grand Prix winner of the Golden Lion Festival (1996).
On September 25, 2023 the program of the XIV International Alexandrinsky Theatre Festival will include a performance of Roman Markholia's Othello staged at the Khanpasha Nuradilov Chechen State Drama Theatre.
