Author of productions at the Novosibirsk Red Torch Theater, the Theater under the direction of Sergei Afanasiev, the First Theater, the Asphalt Theater, the Novokuznetsk Drama Theater, the 18+ Theater in Rostov, and the Kaliningrad Drama Theater. He directed the play "Collision with a Butterfly" for the St. Petersburg Summer Arts Festival "Access Point". Nominee of the National Theater Award "Golden Mask" for the play "London" (Novokuznetsk) in the category "Best Director's Work". The same play became in 2017 the winner of the Festival of theaters of small towns of Russia in Tobolsk, and was also awarded a special prize of the jury of the festival "Novosibirsk Transit". Sergei Chekhov's plays have repeatedly won the All-Russian theater show "ART-migration".
At the XII International Festival "Alexandrinsky" was presented the play "River Potudan" staged by Sergei Chekhov at the Pskov Academic Drama Theatre named after A.S. Pushkin (September 26, 27, 2018. New stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre).
