Theater director, teacher. Artistic director of the Vsevolod Meyerhold Center, head of the acting department of the Moscow Art Theatre School.
Graduated from the Far Eastern Institute of Arts, the Shchukin Theater School, and postgraduate studies at the Russian Academy of Theater Art (RATI-GITIS).
From 1991 to 2001 he worked at the Moscow Young Spectator Theater under the guidance of teachers G. N. Yanovskaya and K. M. Ginkas.
In 1993 he became one of the organizers and Artistic Director of the first festival of independent theaters "Theatre in Search of Theatre" in Sochi (Lazarevskoye).
From 1995 to 2001 - Artistic Director of the Drama and Comedy Theater in Kamchatka. In 2000 with the actors of the Kamchatka Theater put in life the international theatrical project "Guard No. 8", presented at numerous international festivals.
Since 2001 he has been a teaching director at the Nemirovich-Danchenko School-Studio at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater. He took part in the graduation of the first directing course of the School-Studio of the Moscow Art Theatre (2002-2005, Artistic Director K. M. Ginkas). Participates in the joint program of the Moscow Art Theatre School with the Institute for Advanced Theatre Education at Harvard University.
Since 2002 he has been one of the founders and directors of the A. M. Volodin Five Evenings Theater Festival in St. Petersburg.
For many years he has been working in creative cooperation with Ivan Vyrypayev; he has directed plays based on his plays "Oxygen", "Genesis No. 2", "Valentine's Day" "The City Where I Am", "July", "Drunk", etc.
