ALEXANDRINSKY THEATRE TOURS URAL FEDERAL DISTRICT
Alexandrinsky Theatre’s tour across cities of Ural Federal District commences these days. Valery Fokin’s performances based on plays by Nikolai Gogol will be shown to local spectators. Artistic Director’s interview to local media and theatre public will officially launch the tour on May 19, 3:00 pm, at TASS (Russia’s leading news agency) regional press centre, Yekaterinburg. ‘The Inspector General’ and ‘The Marriage’ will be shown at the Yekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theatre on May 19 and 21 respectively. Tjumen theatre goers will enjoy ‘The Marriage’ on May 24 at ‘Neftyanik’ Palace of Culture, while both ‘The Inspector General’ and ‘The Marriage’ will be shown at Surgut ‘Neftyanik’ Palace of Arts on May 27 and 29 respectively.
Tour across Ural Federal District also finishes a Farewell tour of ‘The Inspector General’ – one of Russian theatre repertoire’s best productions. On June 28, 2018, it will be performed for the last time at the Main Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre.
Alexandrinsky Theatre’s tour to Yekaterinburg and Surgut is run with the aid of ‘Grand Tour’ Federal Centre of Touring programme.
