EVENTS PROGRAMME TO THE PREMIERE OF ‘SCHWEIK. THE COMEBACK’
A lecture by Dmitry Bykov ‘Schweik and his metamorphosis. The ultimate hero of Austria-Hungary’ kicks off a series of events devoted to Valery Fokin’s premiere ‘Schweik. The Comeback’ on January 23. Dmitry Bykov is a poet, writer, journalist, public speaker, movie critic, script writer, biographer of Boris Pasternak and Bulat Okudzhava, winner of numerous literary awards, secondary school teacher of literature. Lecture, kindly supported by ‘Pryamaya Rech’ ’ discussion locus, starts at 7:30 p.m.

An exhibition ‘Josef Lada’s Schweik’ opens at the New Stage lobby on January 25, presenting famous illustrations to Jaroslav Hasek’s novel ‘The fateful adventures of the good soldier Schweik during the World War’.
