
Deputy Dean, School of Acting Technique and Direction; Associate Professor, Chair of Plastique and Direction, St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts. Kachayev has taught scenic movement and fencing since 1993. He authored a series of training courses and programs on plastique that are successfully used both in direction and pedagogics. On regular basis, he holds master-classes on scenic movement in Russia and abroad (in Finland, Sweden, England, Romania, etc.). He cooperates with the UNESCO International Theater Institute and takes part in the programs of the Russian Theater Abroad Support Center affiliated with the STD (the Union of Theater Workers) of the Russian Federation. He has directed plastique in more than fifty performances produced at various theaters in Russia, former Soviet republics, other foreign countries. He has also participated in various theater festivals.
At the Alexandrinsky Theater, he has produced the following performances:
