Saint Petersburg’s largest educational festival will take place for the 8th time on the Alexandrinsky Theatre New Stage on September, 24. Open lectures will be given by the best speakers of the world’s most famous universities.

This Open University session is dedicated to the topic of Mutations.
The programme of the festival will consist of three parts:
1. Merging – how a completely new sphere is born on the borders of the other two.
2. Adaptation – of the evolution of concepts and phenomena which we perceive as easy and familiar.
3. Mistakes – about the role of unpredictable circumstances in our world.
At the September Open University session:
Alexei Mashevsky, poet and literary critic, will explain whether it is possible to call Oximiron’s rap, poetry.
Artemy Magun, Professor of political democracy theory, Dean of the Political Science and Sociology faculty, will answer the question whether democracy has a future.
Gennady Korotkevich, graduate IFMO student, two-time ACM ICPC winner, winner of TopCoder Open 2016 and two-time Google Code Jam winner will reveal how a programming contest differs from a football championship.
