Continuing the themes raised in the play Today. 2016 - ..., and exploring the confrontation of global processes of personal tragedy, Honest Woman is addressed not to the genre of fiction, but to the modern political thriller, its action unfolds in our days.
The Middle Eastern state "Islamic Republic" is engulfed in civil war. The world community is powerless: having received a nuclear bomb, the Supreme Leader guaranteed non-interference of the West and now systematically exterminates the opposition. The country is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe. The last chance to restore peace is the negotiations mediated by Russia and the United States, which are taking place on neutral territory, at Tokyo's Narita Airport. The negotiations are convened by the non-governmental organization Hope-21: the role of its leader, the play's title character, an "honest woman", is played by People's Artist of Russia Marina Ignatova.
We are witnessing a behind-the-scenes drama in the highest echelons of power. Its proposed circumstances: pandemic, environmental crisis and terrorist threat, religious fanaticism of some, cynicism of others and idealism of the third.
The clash of interests is inevitable: is humanism possible in politics today? Is it possible to break the vicious circle of mutual paranoia and change something for the better? Or will big politics remain a banal "theater"?

Without giving away on trifles, the director unfolds before the audience real world problems: religious fundamentalism, terrorism, ecological catastrophe, nuclear threat, impurity of politicians. It seems that we are in the "Iranian Conference": Ivan Vyrypayev makes his characters look for a way out of the same hopeless situation. But Vyrypayev's heroes philosophize, monologize, search for God and truth, while Valeria Fokina, an honest woman, is forced to resolve this situation not theoretically, but practically.

Valery Fokine knows well the imperative of duty, the call of destiny, the itch for reformatory improvements to existing reality and proposed circumstances. He knows that, walking on the parquet, you will never meet your destiny. The youthful idealism of the "honest woman" is well known to him. But, having traveled most of the field of life, he knows another thing - the price of compromise, without which no business is possible, the taste of loss and payback for the choice.
